The contra-rotating machine (CRM) has been a preferable selection of the propulsion system (CRPS) owing to its high efficiency, compactness, and low noise. However, conventional CRM with rotating stator problem brush slip ring, brushless coordinated control equal opposite torque. Aiming at above problems, this article proposes transverse-dislocated magnetic-field modulated (TDMFM-BCRM). proposed TDMFM-BCRM some advantages no winding, associated brushes rings, torques any time, therefore it good potential for CRPS. working principle including three dimensional theory, back electromotive force (EMF) generation, torque relation is studied. Then, influences main parameters magnetic block PM sizes on are investigated. critical electromagnetic performances analysed. A prototype manufactured measured validate analysis.
